This evidence-informed webinar will teach assessment considerations for physiotherapists working with pregnant individuals presenting with orthopaedic symptoms or exercise inquiries.

Course content includes precautions/contraindications, prenatal assessment, a review of clinical practice guidelines, exercise prescription, and patient education. Prior experience in prenatal care or pelvic health is not required.

This recorded webinar is intended for orthopaedic or women’s health physiotherapists who would like to increase their confidence in working with the prenatal population (physiotherapy students/assistants and allied health professionals are also welcomed to attend).

Jessica Bergevin

Jessica Bergevin is a physiotherapist who practices extensively within the women’s health landscape. Aside from her clinical practice, she serves as a board member for the Nova Scotia Physiotherapy Association and Chair of the Advocacy Committee. At the national level, she assumes the role of Communications Chair for the Women’s Health Division of The Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She is passionate about advancing the standards of care for women’s health in Canada and promoting competence in all Physiotherapists working with perinatal populations.
