TIME™: Making Community-Based Exercise Accessible for People With Mobility Impairments

60 minutes

Registration for this webinar is FREE for CPA Members, $20 for non-CPA members!

Opportunities for people with mobility issues to participate in exercise programs are limited. Their lives often become sedentary. This session presents the TIME™ (Together in Movement and Exercise) program as a solution that promotes healthy aging and social interaction through exercise, for people living with chronic mobility impairments.

TIME™ highlights how physiotherapists can lead a coast-to-coast movement, building community capacity for adapted exercise programs.

In this live webinar hosted by the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA), you will learn about the TIME™ (Together in Movement and Exercise) program, how to make community-based exercise accessible for people with mobility impairments, and how to replicate the model.

Margot Catizzone is a physiotherapist at UHN Toronto Rehab, supporting their community-based exercise program, TIME, as Practice Lead. Over the past 11 years, Margot has worked with individuals with neurological conditions in a multitude of settings from the community, to inpatient and outpatient rehab, and private practice.

Her clinical research looks at physical activity and fitness in young adults living with brain injuries, after they have aged out of the pediatric system. Her passion is in increasing community capacity for inclusive physical activity, in order to help individuals living with chronic mobility impairments live healthy & active lives.
