Imagine if you could develop a framework to guide your assessment and treatment of dizziness as a physiotherapist or rehabilitation professional?

This online course was developed specifically to help you build that framework combining evidence base and years of clinical experience.

Specifically, the course will review how the vestibular system works, common vestibular disorders and their treatment principles, as well as step-by-step instructions how to treat the most common form of Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV).

Whether you work with a sports team, with seniors, in a hospital, or a bustling private practice you may be looking to improve your understanding of dizziness as you get stuck at times with what to do.

We get it. We have been there.

Dizziness is a common complaint across the lifespan, but sadly it is also poorly understood and treated. The thing is, it does not have to be this way.

Our goal with this course is for you to start to experience a transition from feeling uncertain in your abilities or understanding of dizziness to feeling confident in your skillset and experience improved patient outcomes.

We want you to feel excited about seeing your next dizzy patient!

Learning Objectives

  1. Explain in lay terms the anatomy and physiology of the vestibular system.
  2. Perform a vestibular assessment, interpret the findings, identify those who will respond to vestibular therapy and those who will need further consultation.
  3. Develop an initial treatment plan for those who will benefit from vestibular therapy.
  4. Understand the expectations for treatment, outcome, and timeframes.
  5. Successfully perform a treatment maneuver for the most common form of BPPV.

Still Not Sure ... Check Out These Testimonials:

"I really appreciate your approach. I think the pace of your lessons was good. Great flow to the content. Your years of experience in this area are evident through your confidence in teaching through lecture and demonstration. Thank you for choosing to share your knowledge this way! Personally, I find it difficult to commit to a weekend course, or even a webinar at times, so this online option is perfect for me." -Sarah PT

"Although I have treated BPPV in the past, what I learned was from a colleague many years ago. Either assessment and treatment have been somewhat refined since then, or I started doing things differently on my own (I'm not too sure), but this course really helped to confirm some things I have been doing correctly, but also helped me to see where I can make improvements for better client outcomes. This course information also gives me more confidence; in continuing to treat clients with dizziness or to be able to refer on when I am concerned the problem is beyond my scope of practice. Excellent course!"  -Rhonda PT
