Charting supervision

Enabling the charting supervision feature

The actions described in this section require a Manager permission in your clinic.

If your clinic provides supervision for students, residents, or PTAs, you can now enable the supervision feature on Embodia so that you can review and sign off on their charts. 

To enable the supervision feature go to Charting > Charting Settings > Charting supervising tab.

Here you will see the practitioners in your clinic.

Click on the pencil icon to the right of a practitioner’s name and, select which practitioners can supervise their charts in the popup form.

Using the charting supervision feature

Once supervision has been enabled by the clinic manager, the selected supervisor practitioners will have access to this feature.

If you are a supervisor for another practitioner in your clinic, when the supervised practitioner creates a chart, you will be able to see it by going to Charting > My charts > Needing supervision.

Click on the chart date to view the chart.

Review the chart and add any comments/feedback in the Comments/Feedback section. These comments will be available to the author of the chart entry. They will also be able to respond to those comments in the same area.

Once all the modifications have been made, and the chart entry has been signed by the original author, you will be able to provide your signature by clicking Sign this chart entry as a supervisor in the top banner.

You will then see that the chart has been signed.

The signed chart can now be found in the supervisor’s Supervised by me tab.
